Hoarding Cleanup Services, Anywhere in the Country

Walking into a home that has gotten away from you is exhausting. Maybe it’s your home. Maybe it’s your mother’s, and you’ve just seen the back bedroom for the first time in years. Either way, the worry and the fear of being judged tend to arrive together, and they keep a lot of people from making the one phone call that would actually help.

We’re USA Hoarding Cleanup. We clear homes that have become unsafe, and we do it without a word of judgment. Our own crews do the work — we don’t hand your home or your phone number to a sub-contractor. Unmarked vehicles, plain uniforms, and a team that treats the people in the house as the point of the job.

You don’t have to have it figured out before you call.

Nobody is going to throw away your things

This is the fear we hear most, and it’s a reasonable one. Most people who call us have already had someone march in with contractor bags and a bad attitude, and it ended badly. That isn’t how this works.

Our crews sort. Every room gets worked through in categories — keep, donate, recycle, discard — and the person who owns the home decides which pile things land in. When we find the birth certificate under the third layer, or the wedding photos, or four thousand dollars in cash tucked in a coat pocket (all of which we have found), it comes straight back to you. We work at whatever pace the family can stand, and we stop when someone needs to stop.

What we handle

Most jobs need several of these at once. You don’t have to know which ones — that’s our read to make when we see the property.

Extreme Clutter Removal

Extreme Clutter Removal

Whole-home clearing when floors, doorways and exits have disappeared. We sort before we haul, and valuables come back to you.

Biohazard Remediation

Biohazard Remediation

Bodily fluids, animal waste, needles, medical sharps. Handled under OSHA bloodborne-pathogen procedure, with proper disposal.

Decluttering and Sorting

Decluttering & Sorting

Slower, hands-on work alongside the homeowner. Downsizing, keeping what matters, letting go of the rest at a survivable pace.

Gross Filth Cleaning

Gross Filth Cleaning

Homes where the plumbing failed years ago, or the kitchen stopped being usable. Industrial scrubbing, top to bottom.

Deep Cleaning and Sanitization

Deep Cleaning & Sanitization

Hospital-grade disinfection after the clear-out, so the home is genuinely safe to live in again — not just empty.

Industrial Odor Removal

Industrial Odor Removal

Odor lives in the drywall and the subfloor, not the air. We find the source and remove it. Air scrubbers, hydroxyl, sealing.

Pest Aftermath Cleanup

Pest Aftermath Cleanup

Droppings, nesting material, carcasses, and the contamination they leave behind — the part the exterminator doesn’t do.

Hoarding Counseling Referral

Cleaning the house doesn’t treat the reason it filled up. Here’s where to find people who specialize in that.

How a cleanup actually goes

1

The call

You describe the home. How many rooms, what’s in them, whether there’s water, whether anyone is still living there. Ten minutes, and nobody asks you to justify anything.

2

The walkthrough

Someone comes out and looks at it in person. Photos miss things — hidden water damage, a floor that won’t hold weight, a smell that means something structural.

3

The written estimate

Scope, crew size, days, disposal, and price. In writing, before anyone touches anything.

4

The work

Sorting, clearing, cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, in that order. You can be there for all of it or none of it.

Your neighbors will not know

Our vehicles carry no company name. No logos on the doors, nothing written down the side, and crews in plain uniforms. To anyone watching from across the street, it’s a home restoration crew and nothing more. For a lot of the families who call us, that single detail is what makes the call possible at all.

Where we work

We cover 49 states. Pick yours and you’ll get what’s actually true in that state — who pays for what, which agency handles complaints, whether the Medicaid waiver there covers this kind of cleaning, and what disposal rules the crew has to work under.

For case managers: Medicaid chore services

If you manage a waiver client whose home has become unsafe, this is the part of our work built for you.

Many state Medicaid waivers pay for “chore services” under billing code S5120. In plain language, that means heavy cleaning, clearing out piled-up items, hauling away what can’t stay, and making a home safe to live in again. That is exactly the work we do. Most ordinary homemaker agencies won’t take these jobs. We will.

We never start work without a service authorization number in hand. No authorization, no job — that rule doesn’t bend.

See the 12 states we have documented, program by program, including which ones we’re enrolled in today and which ones need a coverage check first.

What does hoarding cleanup cost?

Honestly: it depends on volume, on how many crew-days it takes, on what has to be disposed of as biohazard versus ordinary waste, and on whether the floors and walls survived. A single room is a different animal from a four-bedroom house with a failed septic line. Anyone who quotes you a firm price over the phone, sight unseen, is guessing.

Homeowners insurance sometimes covers part of it, usually when there’s a covered peril underneath — water damage, a burst pipe, a sewage backup. It rarely covers the accumulation itself. We’ll tell you which side of that line your situation falls on rather than letting you find out from the adjuster. If insurance doesn’t cover everything, financing plans can help with unexpected costs.

And if you’re a family member trying to help from another state, the Family Cleanup Fund lets you put money toward the work directly, without turning it into a loan or an argument.

Not ready to call? That’s okay. Take your time.

Making the first phone call is the hardest part, and some people need weeks before they can do it. If that’s you, take the guide instead.

It’s called Healing the Space: A Gentle, Judgment-Free Guide to Understanding Hoarding and Taking the First Step. It covers how to talk to a parent about their house without the conversation exploding, what actually helps and what makes it worse, and how families get through this. No pressure, no sales calls, and you can leave the list with one click.
